Position Description:

CGI Federal has been delivering mission-essential results to the DoD since 1976. We are actively seeking a Project Manager, Functional to support the Marine Corps Enterprise Logistics Support Sytems (ELS2).

Your future duties and responsibilities:

The ELS2 is a web-enabled system comprised of a suite of applications dedicated to the support of the USMC logistics enterprise. The ELS2 applications may be accessed in seconds from anywhere in the world providing Marines at all leadership levels a trusted, timely view of ground equipment in order to optimize management decisions. The ELS2 provides visibility of ground equipment and weapon system readiness throughout the Marine Corps and combines current and historical data into one data repository which is the base of the suite’s decision reporting tools and transactional applications.

The individual must have recent experience as a Project Manager (PM). The PM will be responsible for:

Managing and ensuring successful delivery of required services and performance of required tasks pertinent to the program.

Managing daily tasks and activities of contract team members, administration, process development, and standardization of the program.

Ensuring the customer is being provided all labor, supervision, and materials necessary to support the program contract tasks at a superior level and meeting CGI's standards.

Having an effective ability to provide and manage resources to execute mission requirements and produce deliverables that meet or exceed customer expectations.

Managing and overseeing contract personnel (both CGI and partners) in performance of the contract mission areas.

Providing monthly status reports suitable for use by each ELS2 application Project Manager and the Program Manager to discern the status of work-in-progress on approved changes

Assisting with developing technical program plans, control documents and other highly technical documents including business case analysis, point papers, recommendations and other technical advice to achieve an integrated solution.

Providing support to the Program and Project Managers during meetings, reviews and briefings, as required to include providing meeting minutes and tracking action items. At the request of the ELS2 Program Manager and authorized COR, brief civilian and military audiences at all levels of management throughout the Marine Corps.

Provid logistics, enterprise information and information technology expertise in support of ELS2 strategic planning efforts.

Recommend best practices and industry standards in order to continuously improve the government's sustainment plan for the ELS2 Portfolio of Decision Support Applications.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Education: BS degree or higher

Demonstrated experience in planning, directing, and managing project deliverables

Demonstrated leadership of a project team

Experience in a Project Manager role

Demonstrated ability for oral and written communication with management and client personnel

Ability to provide oversight, direction, and at times, hands-on support to develop, implement and manage project plans, policies, procedures, and other related governance deliverables to ensure expected results Excellent communication skills

Strong Microsoft Product skills, Word, Excel, OneNote, SharePoint, Visio

Strong problem solving and resolution skills.

The Project Manager shall possess Project Manager Professional certification (preferred) or Project Plus certification. In addition; the Project Management contractor shall have seven (7) years of project management experience AND three (3) years of software development and lifecycle management experiencetion
