HCA, Hospital Corporation of America Clinical Resource Manager- AllSpire in Allentown, Pennsylvania

Job Summary –This position will provide a strong analytical and implementation support to the Vice President, Clinical Resource Management. This position will provide the support for a successful and ongoing implementation of the expense management program throughout AllSpire Health Partners. In collaboration with the Vice President and facility Value Analysis Teams, will assist with the identification of supply expense opportunities to improve product standardization and utilization. Interacts with all appropriate department managers to develop, coordinate and integrate expense management programs into departmental services by assisting with program implementation, data collection, analysis, monitoring, and follow-up. Assist with product selection, evaluation, and implementation of cost-effective products throughout the organization. The CRM will obtain, measure, and report the system and facility supply expense performance based on established key performance indicators.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting with the implementation of strategies and processes for reducing supply expense through the organization

  • Supports supply expense initiatives by providing data and supporting analysis for the facilities.

  • Develops tracking tools such as excel spreadsheets, database tools and report writers to analyze existing and ongoing initiatives.

  • Assists with development and implementation of product standardization and utilization initiatives across the system.

  • Accurately collects supply expense performance data for each facility and the system that will be used by system or hospital Executives, hospital Directors, and Supply Chain as appropriate.

  • Assists with the development of and maintains spreadsheets and database tools to analyze supply expense and process improvement initiatives and documented savings achieved through the value analysis process.

  • Develops a process for ongoing mining of expense and purchase history data to identify contracting and expense opportunities within the facilities and system.

  • Coordinates with staff development educational programs related to changes in products and processes.

  • Prepare agendas and supporting information for Value Analysis Teams.

  • Practice and adhere to the “Code of Conduct” philosophy.

  • Computer Skills: Proficient in the use of Excel spreadsheets and word-processing applications; has the ability to learn new software programs.

  • Functional working knowledge of clinical and surgical supply and SKU maintenance processes

  • Knowledge: Demonstrates a knowledge of basic hospital clinical departments such as laboratory, nursing, pharmacy, medical/surgical supplies and basic quality and operational improvement processes

  • Customer Orientation- establishes and maintains long-term customer relationships building trust and respect by consistently meeting and exceeding expectations.


    Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance, Healthcare Administration or equivalent experience highly required.


    At least 3-5 years’ experience in healthcare organization that provided experience in areas such as healthcare finance, supply chain, clinical operations, or information systems oriented environment. Demonstrates the ability to manage multiple projects that required developing project milestones and monitoring that lead to successful completion. Provide evidence of proficiency in the use of software programs such as Excel and Power Point presentation development. At least one year of related experience in healthcare analytics or economics preferred.
