Booz Allen Hamilton Network Engineer, Mid in Annapolis Junction, Maryland

Key Role:

Perform network services from network design through implementation, maintenance, and upgrading of existing networks and analyze design, specifications, and related documents. Perform general LAN, CAN, and WAN administration. Schedule conversions and cutovers. Coordinate with all responsible users and sites to resolve network or system incidents. Translate business requirements into telecommunications, including LAN, CAN, WAN, Voice, and Video requirements, designs, and orders. Perform engineering analysis of telecommunications alternatives in support of strategic modernization efforts and telecommunications enhancement design for medium and large-scale telecommunication infrastructures. Assist telecommunications end-users, telecommunications operations personnel, and telecommunications strategic program management with network interfaces.

Basic Qualifications:

-Experience with designing solutions and integrating, configuring, deploying, testing, and providing ongoing maintenance for numerous types of network devices, interfaces, and methodologies

-Experience with optimizing end-to-end system performance and dataflow management

-Experience with configuring and optimizing the network to connect various front-end and back-end components

-Experience with gathering needed data to specify system and component performance and interface requirements

-Experience with conducting data captures to obtain network performance information

-Experience with implementing specific network solutions to support server requirements, including load-balancing, VPN's, firewall contexts, Traffic Shaping Voice over IP (VoIP), GRE Tunneling, IP Security (IPSec), IP Encryption, Media over IP (MoIP), and network address translation (NAT) where appropriate

-TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

-BA or BS degree in Systems Engineering, CS, Information Systems, Engineering Science, or Engineering Management and 5 years of experience with providing network engineering support and training commensurate with network engineering curriculums, MA or MS degree CS, Information Assurance, or Information Security Systems Engineering and 3 years of experience with providing network engineering support and training commensurate with network engineering curriculums, or 10 years of experience with network engineering support in lieu of a degree

-Information Assurance Technical (IAT) level I baseline certification as defined by DoD 8570.01-M
