St. Elizabeth Hospital has a Staff Nurse opening on Fremont 3. This position will be scheduled to work 20 hrs/wk on a day shift basis (3 PM – 11 PM).
Fremont 3 is a 30 bed med/surg department located in our new Fremont Tower.
The Staff Nurse is responsible for utilizing the nursing process and established standards to provide patient centered care. Collaborates with other professionals and members of the patient care team to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Coordinates the delivery of patient care in an efficient cost effective manner. Assumes responsibility for patient education.
Demonstrates relevant knowledge and skills in providing patient care in relation to professional standards and established policy and procedures. Utilizes the nursing process (assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation) in the provision of personalized, holistic patient care reflecting collaboration with the patient/significant other. Assumes responsibility for patient assignment and demonstrates ability to organize, prioritize, delegate, and manage time effectively. Demonstrates critical thinking, problem solving, and decision making skills to meet changing needs of patient and nursing unit. Documents according to hospital standards. Exhibits professional, courteous, compassionate, and responsive contact in all forms of customer and team member communications. Provides patient teaching to patients/families, staff and students. Acts as a patient advocate.
Qualifications: Minimum Education Required:
Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred. Current Wisconsin RN license.
Minimum Related Years of Experience ( per minimum education ) Required:
Completes all unit specific certifications/education within designated time frames.
Recent nursing training or experience in an acute care setting preferred. Experience may be required based on business needs of the unit/department. Job: Staff Registered Nurses
