Packaging Specialist (Temporary Position)

Our core competencies and capabilities focus on immunoassay and molecular testing in the areas of: infectious disease, women’s health, and virology.

Quidel is searching for a Packaging Specialist. The Packaging Specialist is responsible for supporting the packaging and assembly of products as required by the production schedule. Responsibilities are department specific and may include dispensing, sealing, packaging, labeling, and assembly of products.

Additional responsibilities include -

  • Responsible for supporting all packaging processes by following the work steps and instructions given by the Department Supervisor or equivalent.

  • Raw material stock maintenance.

  • Other miscellaneous responsibilities.


Education and Experience -

  • High school diploma or equivalent

  • Related experience in a manufacturing environment preferred

Knowledge/Skills -

  • Familiarity with current GMP and ISO quality regulations preferred

  • Experience working in a highly structured, documented environment preferred.

  • Must be detail oriented.

  • Must possess organizational abilities.

  • Must be able to follow directions from a variety of people, adaptable to change, and a team player.

  • Familiarity with basic laboratory devices and equipment preferred.

  • Familiarity with automated manufacturing equipment preferred.
