A Best Buy Mobile Specialty Store Assistant Manager shares the responsibilities of the day-to-day store operations with the Specialty Store General Manager. The Specialty Store Assistant Manager assists General Manager in training/development, performance management, store operations, and supervision of the Specialty Store staff to achieve sales goals, solutions/attachment goals, and customer experience through execution of sales strategy. In addition to these leadership responsibilities a major focus is in assuring the assistance of every customer in making the right choice every time by providing simple, impartial advice. The Specialty Store Assistant Manager thoroughly understands the products we sell, customer needs and provides exceptional expertise/service on products and services. The Assistant Manager Specialty Stores is a key leader in building and sustaining strong customer relationships by providing end to end customer solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide personalized service and exceptional level of expertise for customers.

  • Assist General Manager to ensure staff consistently provides excellent customer services and informs customers about special promotions.

  • Supervise the work of Sales Consultants and Sales Leads including planning, organizing, and delegating tasks to and following up to ensure proper completion in the General Manager’s absence.

  • Protect company assets through effective inventory control and loss prevention practices.

  • Assist General Manager to ensure that all areas of the store are clean and bright, organized, and merchandised per guidelines at all times.

What are the Professional Requirements of a Best Buy Mobile Specialty Store Assistant Manager?

Basic Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent

  • Minimum age requirement is 18 years of age

  • 1 year Sales/Customer Service related experience

  • 1 year of leadership/coaching experience

  • 1 year of consultative selling experience

Preferred Requirements:

  • 2-year degree in Business or related field
