Service Area Overview: You don’t have to be in direct patient care to work at Northside. The Patient Access Department allows you to work in a business setting, while still being part of an organization that really does care for people. We provide patient information and registration for services at each of the Northside Hospital facilities. This team of courteous and caring individuals anticipate and respond promptly to questions and concerns surrounding patient registration activities.

Position Description: The Patient Access Representative will be responsible for arranging for efficient and accurate collection of information for orderly registration of pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients.Collects and distributes patient information, billing information, and collection information.Provides financial estimates and collects applicable patient financial liability.Positively affects the patient’s experience.Makes patients and families aware of hospital policies and procedures.The duties of this position require the exercise of courtesy in speaking with patients, families, and others to maintain sound community relations

Position Requirements: Six months prior clerical or customer service experience preferably in a hospital or medical office.Prior collections experience in a medical setting.Excellent communication and strong customer service skills.Working knowledge and ability to perform accurately and efficiently on computer.Typing skills of 30 wpm.Work Schedule:This position is PRN and works as needed for Day shift hours 8:30a-5:30p; No benefits offered for PRN employees.
