Sensata Technologies, Inc. Automation and Control Systems Design Engineer-2 in Attleboro, Massachusetts
Working in a dynamic and fast paced environment, the Automation and Control Design Engineer will be responsible for both hardware (Analog and Digital) and software design for manufacturing and test machines that will allow Sensata to industrialize the manufacturing process and increase existing capacity as well as introducing new products to market.
The Automation and Control Design Engineer will work as part of an Engineering team to Design, Install and maintain production line Manufacturing and Test Equipment. The Automation and Control Design Engineer will be responsible for all aspects of the design of the equipment including control architecture (PC / PLC), hardware (Analog and Digital interfaces) and Software while working with the Product Development and Process teams to ensure that the end product is both cost effective and optimal for the task at hand. Each of the machines will have to support multiple Sensata product lines which entails communicating with many different ASICs via different protocols.
Bachelor of Electrical- Electronic Engineering / Computer Science or equivalent C/C++/C#
Analog and Digital Design, System Integration Conceptual Knowledge,
Solid Trouble Shooting Skills
Excellent communication skills
Minimum of 5+ Years Experience working on hardware/software integration.
PLC Programming and Design Desirable
10 - 20% of international travel to manufacturing and vendor sites may be required
Intermediate Skills in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word
