Sensata Technologies, Inc. Global Segment Manager in Attleboro, Massachusetts

The Global Segment Manager will have the responsibility of driving global sensor growth through development and execution of market strategies & targeting specific segments of the Industrial Market

The Global Segment Manager will regularly interact with the Global Marketing Director, Business Development Teams, and the Global Segment Team. The Global Segment Manager will also interface regularly with external clients from all major markets.


  • Identification, evaluation, and prioritization of legislative, competitive and technical discontinuities that present sensor opportunities and/or threats

  • Identification and acquisition of new business opportunities

  • Defense of incumbent positions

  • Growth of existing products in current or new applications

  • Strategy for expanding our addressable market

  • Organizational alignment of required resource investments utilizing marketing and financial tools

  • 5-year segment demand forecast


  • Industry Experience: Five (5)+ years of technical marketing experience. Experience in Building/HVAC, Industrial, Medical, or Energy markets is preferred.

  • Strong Technical Background: Strong interest in industrial system/sensor technology with the ability to understand a diverse and complex product line. Should be able to take technical details and apply it to the larger picture to create and execute on a strategy.

  • Team Leadership: Highly-developed coaching and leadership skills to foster working relationships across a geographically diverse team. Ability to manage virtual teams in a matrixed organization.

  • Successful Quantifiable Results: Proven examples of metrics driven results to achieve organizational goals. Ability to set both individual and team annual goals, as well as tracking ongoing progress to achieve by year end.

  • Powerful Communication: The ability to effectively communicate complex technical concepts to a variety of international audiences. Ability to understand client and team€™s needs and act accordingly.

  • Educational Credentials: The ideal candidate will possess an MBA as well as a Bachelor€™s in engineering degree (Mechanical or Electrical Engineering preferred).

This person will also need to be a self-motivated, high-energy individual who can easily function in a high demand, performance-driven environment. He/she must be accustomed to working on multiple tasks in parallel. This professional must demonstrate strong leadership skills, best demonstrated by the individual€™s ability to gain credibility with team members and senior management.
