Responsibilities: PAE has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Programmer, Web Developer to work in Aurora Colorado to program, maintain, and redesign the customer’s website. Provides services related to the management and operation of the computer networks, web servers and user workstations. Recommends system upgrades and enhancements to the Program Manager and customer. Participates in system upgrades and enhancements as directed by the Program Manager and customer. Troubleshoots system performance issues and implements corrective actions. Conducts system training as required and directed by the Program Manager. Partner with customer administrators, corporate IT, and other relevant teams.

Job Overview:

The system administrator will demonstrate the following capabilities:

  • Administration, maintenance, and design of networks and websites

  • Develop new content, applications, and functional features for the site

  • Redesigning a website for improved navigation, organization of content, and improved graphical interface

  • Apply Section 508 (accessibility) standards for web content and applications

  • Communicate with customers, manufacturers, vendors and technical specialists

  • Train system users and other system support personnel

  • Analyze and modify preventive maintenance checklists for system changes

  • Troubleshoot system performance issues and implements corrective actions

  • Perform preventive maintenance actions including system back-ups, error log reviews, database size and integrity checks

  • Organize and prepare detailed documentation of system performance, including service request records and analysis

  • Perform desktop hardware and operating system set-up, imaging software loading, and antivirus updates

  • Perform all duties with minimal direct supervision

Job Requirements

Specific position requirements are as follows:

  • Requires three (3) years of experience programming and web development

  • Requires four (4) years of experience with CSS, HTML, and JavaScript development

  • Requires experience with Object-oriented development

  • Requires experience with Visual Basic .net applications and MSSQL databases

  • Requires a bachelor's degree in a technical discipline or HS diploma/GED coupled with three (3) additional years of programming experience

  • Requires reliable attendance at customer site during work hours required by customer

  • Requires the ability to work occasional alternative hours such as an evening or a weekend day

  • Requires minimal travel

Desired Skills:

Specific desired experience, skills and certifications are as follows:

  • Video editing and conversion

  • Mobile technology and experience in App development for Apple and/or Android systems

  • Experience programming/administrating Digital Video Systems

  • Microsoft SQL Server and Windows Web Server 2012 r2 experience

  • Dell Storage Area Networks, Brocade, and Cisco network equipment

  • Configure and manage UNIX and Windows operating systems

  • Install and load system operating software

  • Experience with Linux Lamp Stack and Open Source platforms

  • Experience with responsive design

  1. Must be organized and have excellent oral and written communication skills

  2. Must possess experience using word processing and desktop publishing application software and hardware

  3. Must be able to work in location listed and within the United States of America

  4. A bachelors degree in computer programming or equivalency is desired
