The Cognitive Architect position resides in the Cognitive & Analytics practice, a consulting unit of IBM's Global Business Services (GBS) that is dedicated to the deployment of advanced analytical and cognitive solutions into enterprise clients worldwide. This is a consulting role, with a focus on architecting, planning and implementing cognitive business solutions in one or more industries.  The position requires a deep understanding of IBM's cognitive solutions and services, with hands-on experience developing solutions for large organizations. The successful candidate will have a proven track record scoping, estimating and defining technical architectures for large complex solutions that are deployed into enterprise-grade production environments. A noteworthy common requirement of these solutions is the processing and analytics of unstructured data. In addition, the position’s responsibilities include thought leadership and formulating innovative solutions for challenging client business requirements. Industry experience and/or process deep technical knowledge of software engineering, cognitive computing and enterprise IT architecture standards are considered essential for this position. Prior experience designing and developing software for enterprise solutions and experience with the IBM Watson brand of solutions and services are a plus.   • At least 2 years of experience developing solution and technical architectures involving cognitive and/or advanced analytics, natural language processing, unstructured content analytics, and/or text mining solutions.

  • At least 3 years of experience in designing/architecting and overseeing the implementation of business solutions utilizing cognitive computing, advanced analytics and big data

  • At least 1 year of experience in Artificial Intelligence programing – Google API.AI, TensorFlow, LEX, Nuance, neural networks, etc.

  • At least 3 years of experience in Programming in object oriented languages like C, Java, .NET, Scala, etc.

  • At least 2 year of experience with Enterprise Service Bus technology – Mule, Talend, IIB, or NodeRed
