Material Coordinator (ASD)
Initial training will be provided in West Palm Beach, FL. Ultimately, this position is located on Andros Island in the Bahamas.
The Atlantic Undersea Test and Evaluation Center (AUTEC) Mission is to provide Naval Warfare Centers, the Fleet, and other customers with accurate undersea, surface, and in-air three-dimensional tracking data and other unique Atlantic test facilities. In support of Research, Development, Test and Evaluation (RDT&E), and Fleet readiness assessment and training. AUTEC is a Major Range and Test Facility Base (MRTFB) and the Naval Undersea Warfare Center, Division Newport's largest single team project, providing both deep and shallow water test and training environments.
Responsible for maintaining an on-site inventory, and provide inventory control of the NAVSEA MK-30 Underwater Target consumables, expendables, and spare/repair parts on the AUTEC Project.
Coordinates and manages the Mk-30 Target Industrial Logistics Support Management Information System (ILSMIS).
Performs receipt inspections of equipment in accordance with subsystem test procedures.
Perform shelf life management and record all items as required in the MK-30 Target Issue/Movement Log.
Monitor inventory levels, condition and relevant expiration dates of all HAZMAT items.
Preparation of purchase orders utilizing MAXIMO for open purchase and Federal Stock items.
Cross-train as the backup Material Coordinator for the shops within Support Services.
Uses Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint to compose, edit and maintain correspondence, reports and electronic files.
Establishes, maintains, and updates files, databases, records, and/or other documents as needed.
Perform the duties as the backup MK-30 Technical Maintenance and Configuration Clerk
Perform the duties as Target System Monitor in the Command and Control Center (OCC).
Perform other duties as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent.
AS/AA in a related field preferred.
At least 2 years of experience in an inventory control environment.
Two years of experience may be substituted by degree in related field.
Excellent people skills.
Organizational skills required.
High degree of computer literacy, required.
Knowledgeable in Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, required.
Excellent understanding of MAXIMO required.
Accounting experience, preferred.
Occasionally lift up to 25 pounds of office supplies/equipment.
This position requires the individual to be eligible to obtain a US Government security clearance; US Citizenship is required
Must be able to reside in remote location with limited medical facilities.
A valid US Passport and Driver’s License is required.
