Job Description SummaryResponsible for managing and presenting departmental analyses to senior management.Job Description
Responsible for recommending to senior management strategies designed to improve the risk/return profile of general account and third party portfolios.
Independently manages (often complex) modeling projects to research and model investment and ALM-related risks.
Manages researching, designing, building, and testing of new risk analytical tools.
Often represents Portfolio Risk Management in interactions with external parties, including regulators, rating agencies, and clients.
Makes regular presentations to senior management.
Manages a staff of risk analysts and / or actuaries.
Requires a graduate degree in mathematics, actuarial science, finance, business, or related field with at least 8 years relevant work experience OR Bachelor’s degree and FSA/CFA/Equivalent Designation plus 8 years relevant work experience OR Bachelor’s degree plus 11 years relevant work experience.
Must possess excellent understanding of investment and finance concepts, and be able to creatively apply them in solving analytical problems in the business setting. Should have an excellent understanding of investment and insurance products. Must possess excellent communication skills.
