Overview:

Responsibilities:

This is a trade’s position based at the US Consulate in Basrah, Iraq and will be associated with the On-Site Services section. The Autodesk Computer Aided Drafting and Design (CAD/CAM) operator is responsible for implementing and maintaining all design and drawing responsibilities to meet contract requirements. The position reports to the IT Supervisor. The duties and responsibilities listed below are representative of the nature and level of work assigned and are not necessarily all inclusive. DUTIES: - Become proficient in the use and completion of work orders (WO) produced by the Work Orders for Windows (WOW) database - Develop a comprehensive knowledge of: - O&M contract (SAQMMA-12-D-0165) - Request for Proposal (SAQMMA-12-R-0012-A001) - BSH Statement of Work (SOW) - Quality Control Plan (QCP) - Operations and Maintenance (O&M) plan - Safety Plan - Develop a comprehensive knowledge of BDSC CAD services, including: - Drafting methods, procedures and techniques; - Drawings of structures, facilities, land profiles, water systems, mechanical and electrical equipment, pipelines, duct systems, and similar equipment, systems and assemblies; - Standardized systems of symbols, legends, shadings and lines having trade specific meanings in architectural drawings; - As-built drawings for any work that modifies existing facilities, equipment or utilities. - Maintain and update current, unclassified as-built drawing library for all major facilities showing locations of architectural, structural, mechanical, electrical, and communication features in each facility. - Revise site profiles and drawings every six months - Maintain unclassified site profiles showing current utilities – electric, water, sewer, fire and outdoor telecommunications plans - Service Desk procedures - Logistics and warehousing procedures - Drive a service vehicle - Vehicle operations - Prepare and submit reports and perform other duties as assigned by the IT Supervisor

Qualifications:

EXPERIENCE: - A minimum of two years’ experience as a CAD operator, or similar engineering support position - Demonstrable skill in the use of AutoCAD version 2010 or higher - Ability to work effectively with multi-national staff and demanding customers REQUIRED: - Education: A high school diploma or equivalent. Must have certificate or equivalent vocational training and be able to demonstrate proficiency in CAD software. Successful completion of a four year curriculum from an accredited college or university leading to a Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related engineering field is highly desirable - Security Vetting: Must be able to obtain a favorable MRPT certification prior to being hired is required for the position. Must maintain eligibility at the required certification level for the duration of the contract - Language Skills: Strong, professional, oral and written English communication skills - Citizenship: US Citizenship is not required for this position - Medical: Favorable passage of a drug screen and physical examination DESIRED: - Relevant overseas contract experience - Experience working with PAE experience OTHER KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES: - Knowledge of ALL principles and processes involved in operating and supporting appliance functions at an overseas facility - Knowledge of principles and processes for providing excellent customer services - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment that requires handling multiple tasks at a given time and rapidly adapting to changing priorities and schedules - Cross-cultural sensitivity with an international perspective - Excellent organizational and time management skills - Expert computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel - Excellent organizational and time management skills - Expert computer skills, specifically in Microsoft Word and Excel - Ability to become an active and functioning member of a team - Must have the ability to be innovative and be an agent for change - Expert communication skills to facilitate and disseminate information - Ability to become an active and functioning member of a team - Must have the ability to be innovative and be an agent for change - Expert communication skills to facilitate and disseminate information “PAE is an equal opportunity employer and drug- free workplace”
