Department Description: This position will be in the Research Bioinformatics CoreJob Location: Boston, MAReq ID: 18409BRJob Summary: Responsible for the development and maintenance of workflows/algorithms for analysis of genomics and next-generation sequencing data. Develops standalone and online webservers for integrated and systems biology analysis of multi-dimensional omics data.
Develops and maintains analysis pipelines for next generation sequencing and proteomics data.
Manages genomics, proteomics and sequencing data analysis, visualization, interpretation and presentation.
Develops analytical workflows for identifying predictive biomarkers from genome level data using novel feature selection and classifier training algorithms.
Utilizes programming skills and maintains expertise in C/C++, Java, Perl, Python, SAS, MATLAB and R.
Bachelor's degree required.
1-3 years related work experience required.
Bachelor's degree or Master's degree required in Bioinformatics, Computer Science or Engineering with a minor in Bioinformatics.
1 year of continuous programming in R., MATLAB, C, C++, and/or C# with a working knowledge of sequencing data processing tools.
Advanced technical computer skills as required for technical support specific to functional area and related systems.
- Master degree in Bioinformatics with expert knowledge of tools for next-generation data processing and workflow development using C, C++ and Java.

Light work: Exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently to move objects. Some elements of the job are sedentary, but the employee will be required to stand for periods of time or move through out the hospital campus
