Our client in the greater Cleveland area is currently seeking an experiencedManufacturing Engineer.
This person will work to improve production quality & throughput; while also troubleshooting current manufacturing equipment in use. Position will require working closely with design engineers to transfer new products and product improvements into manufacturing. This person is also responsible for automating or semi-automating current and new manufacturing processes.
Duties and Responsibilities:

Automating or semi-automating current and new manufacturing processes
Hands on troubleshooting of current manufacturing equipment
Training and working closely with production associates
Communicating and working with the engineering design team
Creatively and quickly thinking of new ideas to implement and improve processes
Designing and creating new assembly/test fixtures and inspection gauges
Minimum of a 2 year associate’s degree is required, 4 year bachelor’s degree preferred.
Candidate must have some experience design and/or troubleshooting automated or semi-automated manufacturing equipment.
Familiarity with pneumatics, solenoids and some PLC programming highly beneficial.
Experience using Solidworks 3D modeling software is a plus; as it will be used in semi-automated fixtures and equipment design.
Must be able to operate electrical hand tools, general hand tools. Lathe or Mill Machine experience is preferred. CNC Machine experience is a plus.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, vendors, non-engineers and the general public.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:
Maintains a valid Driver’s License.

Knowledge of modern business communication, office procedures and methods. Skill to use a personal computer and various software packages such as Microsoft Office Suite. Ability to establish priorities, work independently with minimal supervision, and facilitate teamwork.
Telephones, computer, other office equipment as needed, electrical and general hand tools, CNC machinery, Lathe or Mill Machine operation.
