The Senior Software Engineering Manager of the Commerce Cloud Engineering team will be responsible for the development and delivery of Commerce Cloud Platform. A successful candidate will have an established background in developing Business Services, a strong technical ability, excellent project management skills, great communication skills, a motivation to achieve results in a fast-paced environment, high creativity and great analytical reasoning skills.
As a Senior Manager, you will have technical ownership of the Commerce Cloud Platform. You will lead a talented and nimble team of technical leads, engineers, UX designers and other stakeholders.
Responsibilities include managing an organization of highly performing engineers, process and quality of the Commerce Cloud platform, strategic planning, project management and management of resources across teams. Successful candidates will be strong leaders who can prioritize well, communicate clearly, and have a consistent track record of delivery. You will run ‘Agile’ development teams, and will support multiple stakeholders. You will be a key player in driving strategic planning, project execution, development of engineering talent, and the ongoing operation and improvement of what is already a stable and high performing platform.
Drive the successful delivery of software projects in an Agile/Scrum environment across multiple teams.Experience in Commerce Domain is a plus.
Collaborate with a distributed team of Stakeholders(PM), Architects, Leads, Developers and QA to deliver high quality software.
Collaborate with product management and other stakeholders to define and prioritize software enhancements and features.
Review high level requirements and collaborate with product managers, designers, and architects to refine epics, stories, tasks, acceptance criteria, and software designs.
Collaborate with leads to review specifications, designs, test plans, and milestone goals.
Collaborate with QA manager for resource planning and execution.
Ability to handle multiple project streams and sometimes shifting priorities.
Identify and proactively monitor metrics that can effectively report the overall health of projects.
Introduce best practices within the team.
Work with other up-line managers to recruit top talent.
Set up performance goals for team members; evaluate performance; provide coaching and facilitate professional development.
Develop leaders and highly functional teams.
Bachelor's Degree in technical field required (engineering, computer science, science, etc.).
3+ years of experience leading two or more development teams.
Strong understanding of Engineering processes and best practices.
Solid understanding of software development life cycles, tools, and processes.
Strong communication & presentation skills (verbal & written).
Extremely detail-oriented and able to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Strong project management experience with multiple project streams and sometimes shifting priorities.
Ability to proactively solve data problems and provide actionable recommendations.
Strong technical and analytical skillset; user-experience insight a plus.
