Develops, manages and regularly measures progress against account strategies and plans. Develops new strategies and customer engagement plans. Reports key activities regarding sales, competitive position and customer issues. Develops Customer relationship at all levels of the customer organization. Identifies new sales opportunities/channels and openly shares business development information and opportunities with other account team members. Responsible for routine or standard technical problems and responds to standard requests from internal and external customers. Makes decisions within guidelines and policies. Responsible for driving sales team projects such as program launches, process improvements, budget/contract processes and ROI requirements. The role will also contribute to cross-functional business development teams to ensure successful program delivery. Responsibilities also include the establishment of effective working relationships with SEA account teams, marketing, field sales team, and finance in order to drive program completion and launch schedule. The primary function is to help drive demand for sales teams. Bachelor's Degree with 6-10 years of directly related experience is required. MBA preferred with 6-9 years of business development experience. In depth knowledge of wireless infrastructure equipment and standards Ability to quickly identify new opportunities within wireless product technologies. Self-directed contributor with ability to lead other resources in a matrix organization. Must be able to write, read, analyze, interpret, present and explain technical product and development materials. Must have experience with Microsoft Standard Office Suite and extensive use of presentation software within a Windows/NT LAN/WAN network environment. Work is generally performed in an office environment. Operate a computer keyboard and view a video display terminal between 50% - 95% of work time, including prolonged periods of time. Requires considerable (90%+) work utilizing high visual acuity/detail, numeric/character distinction, and moderate hand/finger dexterity. The movement and transportation of equipment, most of the time is under 25 pounds. Performs work under time schedules and stress which are normally periodic or cyclical, including time sensitive deadlines, intellectual challenge, some language barriers, and project management deadlines. Machines, tools, equipment, and work aids include printers, copiers, faxes, and other equipment commonly associated with an office work area. May require working additional hours beyond normal schedule. Travel varies depending on position. Consistently demonstrates a commitment to policies and procedures, including but not limited to, attendance, confidentiality, conflict of interest, and ethical responsibilities.
Necessary Skills / Attributes
Demonstrated ability to interact at all levels within customers organization and also within Samsungs organization. The ability to negotiate with and convince others, in a potentially adversarial environment, including customer leadership team, VPs, directors & managers, staff, and vendors with opposing views to accept/approve plans, technical and project recommendations. The ability to independently plan, organize and prioritize multiple projects, sales and simultaneous performance objectives. Ability to make professional sales and business presentations in writing, through email, reports, or orally, including complex business and technical matters to an audience of high technical skills, management and operational experience. The ability to develop specific sales and business plans and metrics, to clearly define results to be achieved, to make decisions, to give direction, and to measure individual/team performance and sales results. Excellent Planning, Interpersonal, Communication, and Negotiation skills. Skilled in developing and maintaining excellent working relationships with all appropriate levels within and outside the company. Ability to work in a team environment, in order to achieve personal and team project milestones and to complete assignments within established time frames. The ability to accept tasks and resolve problems/situations that differ, requiring creativity to search for optimal solutions, when only broad and general guidelines exist for solving problems. Interact with all levels within the organization and has frequent external contacts.
