Job Description SummaryThe Mortgage Loan Servicing, Accounting and Reporting Department is responsible for servicing and monitoring commercial, agricultural and other mortgage loans according to the terms of the loan documents and all Service Level Agreements and Investment Management Agreements with affiliated and unaffiliated clients. Position Overview:Commercial Mortgage Loan Portfolio Analysts are responsible for serving as the primary point of contact with commercial mortgage loan borrowers, monitoring borrower payments, performing collection activities and providing portfolio surveillance and analysis.Job Description
Provide analytical surveillance and servicing support for commercial and other mortgage loan portfolios of Aegon Asset Management’s affiliated and unaffiliated clients.
Serve as the primary point of contact with commercial mortgage loan borrowers, monitoring borrower payments, and performing collection activities.
Process borrower requests such as loan payoffs, yield maintenance and prepayment premium calculations, key lease approvals; and monitoring loan maturities and payoffs.
Provide front-line service and manage relationships with borrowers, investors, attorneys, and commercial real estate professionals.
Provide portfolio surveillance and analysis, including financial, business and legal analysis of complex commercial mortgage loans to ensure compliance with the loan documents, investor requirements and company policy.
Maintain servicing practices in compliance with Service Level Agreements and Investment Management Agreements with affiliated and unaffiliated clients, including requesting investor consents of Servicing Actions, as required by investors, by preparing analytical and narrative analysis of the requested Servicing Action, along with analysis of the borrower, property and market data.
Provide analytical support of borrower and property performance and evaluation of variances among borrowers’ historic, current and pro-forma financial statements to identify and understand portfolio risks.
Produce various surveillance reports and reporting packages for senior management.
Bachelor’s degree in real estate, finance, accounting or related area.
Two to five years commercial lending, credit and financial analysis, loan documentation, underwriting or other directly related experience in a fast paced, analytical, customer-oriented environment.
Preferred: Skills or experience should include quantitative real estate data and financial analysis using spreadsheets, loan management system software and applicable legal documents
