Primary Purpose: The Director of Mortgage Loan Portfolio Management is responsible for the effective management of multi-billion dollar commercial mortgage loan portfolios for affiliated and unaffiliated investors.Job Description
Responsible for operational results within the Mortgage Loan Servicing, Accounting and Reporting Department
Responsible for monitoring the performance of the commercial mortgage loan portfolios for AEGON affiliated accounts and for unaffiliated third party investors, with particular emphasis on performance according to the terms of various investment management agreements (20%)
Serve as a primary liaison between Mortgage Loan Servicing and affiliated and unaffiliated investors (10%)
Manage the relationship with unaffiliated investor clients by working with senior level management of unaffiliated clients (10%)
Responsible for managing and supervising staff who perform activities related to commercial mortgage loan servicing, which may include but are not limited to monitoring and surveillance of the portfolio, investor customer service, borrower customer service, borrower consents, lease analysis, reserve account administration, payment collections, property insurance administration, real estate tax administration, paralegal functions and records management activities (40%)
Serve as a primary liaison with other functional areas within Aegon Asset Management including commercial and agricultural loan production, real estate legal, loan closers, valuation, special servicing and asset management, and operations (10%)
Responsible for recommending and implementing departmental policies and procedures (10%)
Four year degree (or equivalent) with 10+ years related experience
At least 2 years of supervisory experience.
- Masters or advanced degree (MBA, JD or degree related to real estate finance)
Job and compensation levels depend upon an applicant’s qualifications including the extent of his/her relevant experience and other job related factors and will be determined by hiring supervisors/managers and HR.
