Kettering Medical Center NURSE PRACTITIONER - FAMILY PRACTICE in Centerville, Ohio

Description Nurse Practitioner (NP) will provide primary care with the cognizance or supervision of a physician. The NP will be responsible for a regularly appointed clinic, compatible with workload and, in addition, provide immediate evaluation and management of emergent problems as they occur. More specifically the duties include:

  1. Provide primary medical care under the supervision of a physician
  2. Provide immediate evaluation and management of emergent problems
  3. Collect & record medical history
  4. Perform general physical exams
  5. Function as primary care manager for panel of patients
  6. Examination, interpretation and implementation of treatment plans
  7. Participate in quality assessment and improvement activities
  8. Assist in internal quality control audits
  9. Provide supervision in case assignment to NP, supervise MA's and lab personnel in area specific support services for patient care delivery

Requirements Educational Requirements:

Masters Degree required - National Board Certification for Nurse Practitioners. Prescriptive privileges certification obtained or in process (must be completed within specified time frame).

  • Must have awareness of patient confidentiality and be able to follow directions well from physician(s) and work autonomously with little direction.

  • Maintains competencies and skills of specialty area of practice
