Job Description:

The most important thing that we will be looking for is for these individuals to be able to read multiple styles of electrical schematics with multiple layouts and have the ability to turn a simple schematic into a functional final unit as well as decipher a complicated schematic into a functional unit.

The primary objective of position is to assemble fittings and components (stainless steel and plastic), wires assemblies, and perform system check out functions.


• Acquires job skills and learns company policies, methods, and procedures to complete a variety of tasks.

• Assembles fittings and components.

• Assembles wire assemblies.

• Performs check out functions and confirms operations.

• Uses manual machines.

• Follows production schedule to ensure on time deliveries.

• Performs secondary machining operations (as applicable).

• Inspects own work and work of others.

• Maintains an external customer quality level of 99%.

• Participates as an active work team member.

• Trains and assists others as required.

• Willing to cross-train as required.

• Performs simple maintenance on tools and equipment as required.

• Works overtime when required to support customer demand.

• Cleans and maintains work areas.

• Installs plumbing, fittings, electrical components, and electromechanical assemblies.

• Understands and reads plumbing pneumatic, and electrical schematics. (P&ID: Piping and Instrumentation Drawings).

• Knowledgeable and able to operate applicable hand tools.

• Understands and applies all inspection equipment to check product for quality.

• Receives general instructions on routine work, detailed instruction on new assignments, and can work with limited supervision.

• Utilizes knowledge and experience of lead person.

• Uses job knowledge to continuously improve the quality and cost of products.

• Read and understands all work instructions as required.

• Develops relevant work instructions as required.


Minimum Requirements:

• Knows, understands, and supports CFS’s Quality Policy and Quality Objectives and understands how this position affects the outcome of both.

• High School Diploma or equivalent.

• 3 years of related experience.

• Knows of hazards associated with duties.

• Knows of and is able to wear personal protective equipment necessary for duties performed.

• Knows how to activate emergency response procedures.

• Knows how to operate applicable emergency equipment.

• Pro-active, decisive, objective, adaptable, and flexible.

• Realistic about his/her limitations.

• Able to lift 50 pounds unassisted and over 50 pounds with assistance.

• Able to react calmly to changing circumstances.

• Able to communicate clearly and professionally, both written and verbal.

• Able to work well with others.

• Able to take directions.

• Able to read and understand Material Safety Data Sheets.

• Able to read engineering documents and drawings with or without assistance.

• Able to analyze and solve problems.
