UNC Department of Public Safety Human Resources Consultant in Chapel Hill, North Carolina

Description of Work

This position will serve as an EHRA Consultant in a “floater” role conducting position studies, salary surveys, benchmarking analysis and salary studies on an as needed basis. This position will also coordinate the approval process for certain salary increase requests and will assume responsibility for routine reporting and auditing requirements, such as monthly end of employment reporting, supplement audits, background check audits and new hire orientation attendance/completion audits. This position will also manage inactivation of positions vacant for over one year and ensure that positions are abolished when an incumbent’s appointment has been ended due to loss of funding. This position may also be involved in coordinating the recruiting and hiring process and/or performance review process for senior level positions.
