Capable of New Product Development and to conceive, design,develop, and maintain products to achieve business unit and corporate goals.


Support and/or completemedium to high level, complex engineering tasks/projects as assigned to meetbusiness objectives and product lines for the food service industry.


  • Product design responsibility of cooking equipment including concept development, design validation, agency approval, print release, manufacturing evaluation and product launch within a specified project timeline.

  • Manage technical design aspects of a project from inception through production launch.

  • Troubleshoot, analyze, and resolve engineering related issues.

  • Coordinate engineering activities with other departments including change plans, engineering changes, performance/agency testing and trial runs.

  • Create and develop engineering project documentation, i.e. bill of materials, drawings and specifications.

  • Support and implement product release plans as assigned.

  • Support sales, service and marketing to resolve customer issues.

  • Contribute to a cross-functional team as required to support the development of other projects related to the group.

  • Customer interaction on product design, specifications, and improvement

  • 3D modeling using SolidWorks and experience with PDM Workgroup.

  • Adaptable, flexible, innovative, problem solving skills, sense of urgency, listening skills.

  • Effective oral and written communication.

  • Task planning.

  • Applicable computer skills using Microsoft Suite.

  • Organizational and interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledge of various manufacturing and quality processes.


  • Working knowledge of UL, CSA and NSF standards. In depth knowledge and understanding of ANSI Z83.11 and UL197 Standards.

  • Familiarity with Thermo Dynamic concepts and its application to cooking systems.

  • Electrical wiring and design

  • CFD Experience.

  • Microsoft Project.

  • FMEA experience.
