Advocate/Liaison between Corporate Marketing & Regions
Guide corporate resources to improve effectiveness and drive strategic product penetration with local insights.
Represent local interests to corporate marketing to drive localization into the strategic thinking resulting in local executions with a strong return on investment.
Share strategy of corporate marketing and changes as applicable to each region/market.
Drive Localized Strategy into the National Plans
Actively participate in RP and VPO meetings providing marketing updates, competitive insights and act as single point of contact for marketing.
Visit markets, retail stores periodically to assess local conditions.
Partner with the VPOs and MDMs to understand local issues and develop strategic plans.
Consult with regional teams on how best to manage allocated local media budgets to compliment corporate strategy and/or maximize opportunities to drive strong ROI.
Proactively offer ideas for how to win against specific segments.
Collaborate with cross functional teams including, Sponsorship/Brand and Field Sales to drive local integration and efficiencies.
Influence Media and Marcom Strategies
Influence mass and targeted strategies with locally relevant market research, data, geographic and competitor insights to drive strategic product growth.
Partner with Butler-Till agency to properly assess and drive media placement within each market.
Review Mass media plan by market to ensure that buys reach the desired audience, push for changes as applicable.
Understand and share local creative feedback for better national executions
Single point of contact for local creative executions, tactics, and program
Analysis of key metrics. Identify root cause issues and recommend gap closure solutions as needed to improve and or exceed targets.
Competitive analysis and monitoring with assessment of competitive risks
Monitor success of local tactics; analyze performance and modify strategy to maximize effectiveness.
Market Analysis for Competitive Intelligence
Competitive activity tracking and reporting with market statistics
Competitive substantiation for our advertising claims
Support competitive reviews
Influence competitive response strategy
Point of contact with legal to stop competitor claims
Produce Quarterly Competitive Insights and trends and Ad Hoc competitive research as requested
Liaison with Corporate Strategy regarding market research and with Product/IT regarding offer plans for each release
Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years of relevant work experience or Master’s degree with 4+ years of relevant work experience
Self-motivated, innovative, collaborative, multi-tasker, creative and analytical
Prior advertising agency, media agency, or marketing related experience
Excellent oral and written communication skills
Proven ability to excel in a fast-paced environment is extremely important
Strong team player with a positive attitude
Prior field marketing experience
5 years’ with Advertising agency, media agency, or marketing related experience
Prior field marketing experience with an IT/Telecommunications organization
