PNA Construction Technologies is seeking a Machine Operator to perform basic setup, operation, and preventative maintenance of equipment in order to produce according to quality specifications in an efficient and safe manner in our Charlotte, NC facility.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Performs duties to assist with setup and to operate the Single Side Frame, the Double Side Frame, a plasma cutter, the saws, coating equipment, or Welding. Run the machine under normal circumstances to meet production standard rates while maintaining a high level of quality and low scrap.

  • Monitors machines performance, gauges, and quality output per instructions. Seeks assistance from a Level II & Level III operators or supervision when issues develop.

  • Perform all quality checks according to SOPs and quality specifications sheets. Track and document quality checks and scrap for assigned equipment as required.

  • Follow all prescribed safety/housekeeping practices and procedures. In addition, tracks machine downtime per shift.

  • Work with other team members and participates in team events and meetings.

  • This position may be assigned other duties as needed to support the plant and to meet customer needs.

Job Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED

  • Able to work 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM

  • Ability to understand basic machinery. Less than a year of manufacturing experience including set up, operate, changeover, use of measurement tools and knowledge of preventive maintenance preferred.

  • Ability to work in a team environment

  • Ability to recognize and identify parts, problems, and offer resolution

  • Ability to read drawings/specification sheets and follow instructions.

  • Successfully complete supplemental training (i.e. reading drawings, technical math, and measurement tools.)
