Chesterfield County Relief Counselor (Mental Health) in Chesterfield, Virginia

Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED; some college coursework preferred; related experience in a human services field preferred; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. This position requires entering patient data into an electronic medical records system. Computer skills and the ability to type required. Good driving record required. Must not reflect a total accumulation of six or more negative points within the past three years or a major violation within the past four years. (Out of state DMV records must be provided by applicant at time of interview.) Pre-employment drug testing, FBI criminal background check and education/degree verification required.


Provide supervision and direct care services to individuals with intellectual disabilities, mental illness and physical disabilities in a 24 hour residential group home or supportive living environment. Provide training in activities of daily integration and behavioral management. Assist with medication administration, Medicaid Waiver documentation, service and behavior plan implementation, household maintenance, and cleaning. Weekdays and weekends awake overnights between 8:00p.m. - 10:00a.m.; or weekends 9:00a.m. - 5:00p.m.; or 12noon - 8:00p.m.; may include holidays
