We are seeking an Engagement Director who will be responsible for the global revenue recognition processes, accounting, monthly close and reporting accurately and timely in compliance with GAAP and SOX requirements; administrate and implement revenue systems and database; prepare intercompany transactions and ad hoc analyses.

Essential Functions:

  • Complete month-end close for worldwide gross and net revenue in a timely and accurate manner to meet tight deadlines

  • Work collaboratively with the Sales Operations, Marketing, Billing, Quality and Collections to ensure all programs contemplated in gross and net revenue accurately and completely

  • Develop and maintain rates of “gross to net” components

  • Prepare/post/review “gross to net” revenue adjustments, journal entries and account reconciliations to ensure the integrity and accuracy of data and accounts

  • Verify/analyze sales, rates, wholesaler inventory, return, shipment in transit, Medicaid, managed care and other data for accuracy and completeness in order to resolve variances identified

  • Establish and maintain insightful sales reports/dashboard for variance, royalty, rebate program, strategic analyses and management review

  • Develop, maintain and update revenue accounting procedures and manuals

  • Maintain and test accounting, control procedures and documentation to ensure the accuracy and completeness of gross revenue and “gross to net” revenue adjustments in compliance with GAAP, company policies and SOX requirements

  • Maintain a central repository of all customer contracts and rates of “gross to net” components; review reports of changes

  • Assist in the bid review process to ensure proper revenue recognition and documentation

  • Reviews variances with managers

  • Responsible for revenue accounting system upgrade and implementation including UAT and etc

  • Prepare audit requested schedule and assist with external audit process

  • Work on initiatives to improve and enhance revenue recognition processes, reporting, risk mitigation and internal control

  • Ad-hoc reporting and analysis and other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

  • Minimum 10 years of experience in finance/accounting (a year of revenue accounting in pharmaceutical industry) or Public Accounting experience with “big 4”

  • Strong understanding of Revenue recognition accounting in the pharmaceutical industry preferred

  • CPA

  • Excellent analytical skills and interest in identifying the root of complex issues and resolves problems with little supervision

  • Ability to multi-task, work successfully under pressure, and effectively prioritize and manage time and workload to meet business needs

  • Detail oriented with ability to work through ambiguous data

  • Deadline driven

  • Advance skill in Excel and Power Point

  • JD Edwards, iContract and EDI knowledge preferred
