Position Overview:

QuadMed is recruiting a part-time Physician, two days/week, who is trained and experienced in Occupational Medicine to provide services at the Whirlpool Health Center located in Clyde, OH.

Responsible for the delivery of high quality Occupational Health services for QuadMed at the Whirlpool Health Center in Clyde, OH. The desired candidate would apply and modify the principles, methods and techniques of occupational medicine to provide comprehensive and innovative services. Provide leadership, direction and coordination of occupational health services at their assigned health center(s). Work closely with Department Manager to support growth and improvement initiatives to ensure comprehensive delivery of services and quality patient care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provideoccupational medical care to patients depending on the needs of the client.Provide medical treatment of work-related illnesses and injuries, conduct injurycausation analysis, and provide other occupational health related medicalservices as needed.

  • Provideonsite services and consultation to employers as needed.

  • Communicatewith employers on return to work status.

  • Chart allpatient transactions in accordance with company policies and procedures.

  • Developtreatment plans in collaboration with patients; educate and advise on medicalissues as needed.

  • Ensurethe use of standardized and consistent Occupational medical procedures/processeswithin the QuadMed Health Centers.

  • Be asubject matter expert in Occupational Medicine and provide consultative adviceand insight on unique medical cases, patient situations and/or clientissues.

  • Functionas a liaison between employer’s management and safety team, and the onsiteprimary care medical provider.

  • Communicateand work with medical staff to ensure coordinated efforts for the provision ofhigh quality medical treatment and client services.

  • Educateand train primary care providers in occupational health program concepts andprocedures, use of equipment, proper charting techniques or other issuesinvolving the delivery of services.

  • Incollaboration with the Nurse Supervisor, assist the health center staff inunderstanding and complying with Occupational Medicine policies andprocedures.

  • Evaluatethe effectiveness of existing clinical methods and procedures and suggestimprovements.

  • Participatein the orientation of clinical providers and nursing staff.

  • Work withNurse Supervisor on collaborative agreement support, development and performanceevaluations of nursing staff.

  • Maintainprofessional communications by attending all required meetings, conference callsand responding to email, telephone or written communication in a timelymanner.

  • AssistDepartment Manager in implementing special medical projects and services, suchas shared occupational health clinic opportunities.

  • Participatein professional development activities and maintain professionalaffiliations.

  • Serve asliaison to associations in the community and to any other organization thatmight affect business at the center.

Required Qualifications:

  • MD or DO degree, Board Certified in Family Practice, Internal Medicine and or Occupational Health by the AOA or ABMS.

  • Currentunrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of Wisconsin

  • CurrentDEA license.

  • MedicalReview Officer (MRO) certification may be required
