The consultant is responsible for the overall project management of on-boarding RPS full service defined contribution clients. Conversion scope will vary in complexity and impact to the TRP enterprise based on, plan design and administrative complexity, scale of assets under administration and assets under management ranging from $30 million to multi-billions, and revenue stream that can be in excess of several million dollars.

They will oversee multiple client relationships in varying stages of the on-boarding process. This position will serve as the primary point of contact for multiple client relationships, including new clients as well as existing clients with merger and acquisition needs. The consultant will act in a consultative capacity with the client to establish a service model that meets the unique needs of the client while simultaneously aligning with TRP’s preferred practices. The consultant is expected to deliver excellent client service to contribute to the growth of the RPS client base, and create an environment where clients will be willing to serve as a reference for the conversion service experience. This role is ultimately accountable for the clients overall conversion satisfaction.


Builds Relationships: Manages and coordinates the client on-boarding experience for multiple relationships ranging in size and complexity. The consultant cultivates a deep relationship with the client and quickly builds rapport. Will be responsible for proactive oversight of all tasks related to the transition of new clients and merger and acquisition. Ensure plan converts accurately, timely and in adherence with all established service levels. Coordinates the execution of service agreements such as recordkeeping, trustee, adoption agreement, common trust fund, etc.

Documents Decisions and Promotes Best Practices: Documents plan provisions, and on-going decisions relating to plan design and service setup. Completes P.L.A.N. analysis based on plan design; collaborates with both the client and internal partners to identify and implement efficiencies by influencing the client, advisor, and legal counsel to make decisions that migrate toward best practices and mitigate risk.

Leads and Directs: Manages all conversion-related interactions with external parties including plan sponsors, advisors, legal counsel, and prior record keepers during the on-boarding process. This includes leading the implementation meeting and on-going conference calls with all necessary parties and ensuring that all parties are up-to-date and that the project is on-track at all times.

Partners Internally: Leads and directs all conversion-related activities of an internal cross-functional service team to create a premier onboarding/conversion experience for clients. Collaborates with other team members to ensure plan set up, participant services and administrative procedures are established in compliance with the plan document. In addition, Partners with sales team to support the acquisition of new business relationships. Participate in sales final presentations to showcase the end to end on-boarding process.
