We are currently looking for a Capture/ Proposal manager for the Federal Solutions Group business unit with demonstrated skills in business capture and proposal support across DoD space government organizations. The primary responsibility of this position is to plan, lead, and manage activities related to the identification, pursuit, and capture of DoD Space business opportunities in the areas of Space Control, ground systems and/or data analytics. Responsibilities include the development of solutions in response to stated customer needs, development/execution of capture plans and strategies, lead of pursuit and proposal activities, and customer relationship management. The qualified candidate will work with other internal support staff to prepare proposals, rough order magnitude estimates and responses to customer requests for information and directly lead capture personnel assigned to these activities. Responsible for day-to-day execution and status reporting of business development across portfolio. Support the development of new business roadmaps for the strategic planning process. Must understand Federal Solutions Group core competencies and package them into offerings to potential customers; develop white papers, briefings, technical and architectural solutions to customer needs, and proposals to support positioning and capture of new opportunities. Establish and maintain effective relationships with current and new customers (both government and industry). Gain recognition as a trusted and respected representative of the respective groups, and influence program awards consistent with customer requirements and objectives.

Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor's degree in related field

  • 5+ years experience and a strong background with government/industry and experience operating within DoD, IC, and restricted space program environments.

  • Experience in working with one or more of these environments including: Air Force Space Command, Space and Missile Center, Army, Navy, DARPA, NOAA, NASA, and the IC community.

  • Must have a system engineering background with excellent technical writing skills.

  • Demonstrated experience in leading new business capture activities and experience in development of government proposals.

  • Must be self-motivated and capable of working independently. Influencing decisions/changes, communication and team skills will be critical to the successful execution of the duties of the position.

  • Active Security Clearance desired.

  • This position is located in Colorado Springs, CO.
