Job Description

The Market Research Assistant position exists to support the research team through research projects, editing reports and presentations, and general research tasks. This position will primarily interact with other research team members, but will have visibility across the ministry. Key project stakeholders include Marketing, Ministry Strategy, Content Development, Constituent Communication, and Family Ministries.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities:**

  1. Provides operational and logistic support for all research projects (tracks deadlines and deliverables, handles basic correspondence, coordinates with other departments and outside vendors)
  2. Contributes to the design and maintenance of a research newsletter to keep ministry decision-makers aware of consumer trends and emerging interests. Role includes compiling market data from numerous sources and developing summaries of that data
  3. Contributes to the execution of primary research projects, including (but not limited to) surveys, focus groups, and observational studies
  4. Ensures quality and accuracy of research output (data, charts, tables, reports, presentation), including proofreading, fact-checking, formatting, and editing
  5. Works collaboratively with project teams in the development and reporting of research findings
  6. Identifies appropriate sources to compile and summarize information on topics as assigned

  9. Loads research reports and presentations into a web platform for external access (training provided)
  10. Performs other duties as assigned

Stewardship Requirements:**

  • Adheres to FOF principles of stewardship by using time and available resources efficiently
Required Experience
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mathematics/Statistics, Marketing, Marketing Research Analytics, or Social Science (Psychology, Sociology, Anthropology, etc.) is a plus
  • 1-3 years related experience
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office
  • Experience writing reports and/or PowerPoint presentations that clearly articulate complex information
  • Knowledge of SPSS is a plus
