Job Summary

We at Enterprise are seeking a Salesforce.com Developer with a strong background in the Salesforce.com platform, Force.com (custom) solutions design, custom development, configuration, implementation, administration and engineering support (Level-3 support). The position is a part of our fast growing Salesforce.com development and implementation team, and is an excellent opportunity for the right candidate to grow in a fast-paced, exciting environment that offers competitive salaries, excellent benefits and a great work-life balance. This position will be based in Columbia, MD, and travel requirements are very minimal.We currently have 2 openings for this role.

Job Responsibilities

  • Perform Salesforce.com configuration and Force.com custom development using Salesforce.com Standard and Custom Objects, Page Layouts, Approval Processes/Workflows, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Apex, Visual Force, and Lightning Components.

  • Strong knowledge of the architecture and working principles of all of the above are required.

  • Must be a confident, self-starter individual who can completely “own” the delivery of high value work products.

  • Interact directly with business users and technical staff and be responsible for delivering complete work products.

  • Perform configuration & release management using DreamFactory’s Snapshot, Eclipse with the Force.com plugin, or Salesforce.com Change Sets.

  • Apply knowledge to ensure deliverables from multiple development work threads follow robust release management disciplines and procedures.

  • Maintain documentation of configurations and releases in our wiki knowledge base.

  • In addition to standard Salesforce.com implementation, our environment includes major custom solutions with Force.com, and integrates with other systems like PeopleSoft and custom solutions developed in .Net, SQL Server and Business Intelligence/Analytics tools. Our main org implementation supports over 600 internal and thousands of external portal/community users. The opportunity exists to grow into an enterprise-level technical architect.


  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent experience, is required.

  • A minimum of 1 year of Salesforce.com experience, along with a minimum of 3 years of experience in a software development/information technology environment are required.

  • Strong knowledge of Agile SDLCs, Object-Oriented Programming, and systems engineering principles required.

  • Strong programming experience and knowledge of SQL, HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and SFDC programming languages (Apex, Visual Force, etc.) required.

  • Experience with SalesForce.com development in a multi-tiered release environment, including hands-on configuration and release management experience, required.

  • Experience with Jira, Jira Confluence, and Salesforce.com Communities a plus, but not required.

  • Lightning Component development using the Aura Framework a plus, but not required.

  • Financial Services Industry experience is desirable, but not required.

  • Formal certifications like Salesforce.com Platform Developer I/II, Salesforce.com Certified Administrator/Advanced Administrator, etc. are preferable.
