The Gastroenterology Division at the Dorn Veterans Administration Medical Center (Dorn VAMC) is recruiting an outstanding gastroenterologist to an excellent academic Gastroenterology service with an affiliation with the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Department of Medicine. Come join a thriving practice of eight gastroenterologists. Duties include inpatient consult services, gastroenterological procedures, and outpatient gastroenterology and hepatology clinic.
Work Schedule:Monday - Friday, 8:00A.M. - 4:30P.M. with weekend and night coverage, as necessary. **

Basic Requirements*: *
- Must be proficient in written and spoken English.
- Degree of doctor of medicine or an equivalent degree resulting from a course of education in medicine or osteopathic medicine.
- Current, full and unrestricted license to practice medicine or surgery in a State, Territory, or Commonwealth of the United States, or in the District of Columbia.
Preferred Experience: Completion of ACGME accredited fellowship in Gastroenterology and background in clinical research and clinical education.
Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religions; spiritual; community; student; social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
