Southwest Airlines’ MBA Internship Program is an opportunity for MBA and Masters Students to gather and organize information and data in support of business strategy for multiple areas. This paid summer internship provides exposure to the FUN Culture as well as contact with Senior Leaders.
This Intern will be part of the Corporate Planning and FP&A Team whose mission is to support the Company’s planning efforts and provide timely and reliable plans, financial forecasts, and insightful analysis that serve as valued decision support for Senior Leaders. The Team prepares various products on a weekly, monthly, quarterly, annual, and 3-5 year horizon in support of a continuous planning cycle for Company Officers including the CFO and CEO.
High School Diploma, GED or equivalent education required.
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must have authorization to work in the United States as defined by the Immigration Reform Act of 1986.
Education and Experience:
Currently enrolled in a fulltime two-year MBA or MS in Business, Finance, or related field.
Planned graduation date between December 2017 and June 2018.
Experienced user of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Minimum of 2 years of work experience preferred (full-time, part-time, or internship), with exposure to at least one of the following areas:
Financial modeling and/or analysis
Capital projects planning and/or budgeting
Development of executive-level financial presentations
The ideal candidate would have intermediate or advanced knowledge and experience in two or more of these areas.
Experience with Process Review and Improvement is preferred.
Ability to create financial models and graphs using Excel and PowerPoint is preferred.
Location and Pay:
This position requires authorization to work in the United States for any candidate without sponsorship
Pay of $5,400 per month, housing stipend of $1,200 (one time at program start), plus flight privileges.
This position is located in Dallas, Texas at the Southwest Airlines Headquarters.
