Position Description:

CGI is seeking a Sr. Land Assistant in Dallas, TX! This position is responsible for routine clerical duties involved in carrying out the activities of the Land Department, and assists in preparing various reports, records maintenance, and leases to assist Landmen. This is a full-time opportunity with CGI, and all benefits start on your first day of employment!

Your future duties and responsibilities:

Updates land system database daily to monitor and track budget, well, and lease information, as well as elections, proposals, and broker activity.

• Prepares legal correspondence and other legal documents as required.

• Investigates facts and searches pertinent sources, such as public records, to determine causes of action.

• Prepares, compiles, and processes lease packets.

• Verifies and processes lease payments.

• Reviews and processes broker invoices including preparation of check request.

• Obtains data from multiple sources and departments to prepare and send various management reports.

• Corresponds with mineral owners and working interest partners.

• Performs administrative tasks associated with State and Federal agency filings and reports.

• Communicates with external parties such as brokers, royalty/surface owners, and well partners from other companies to obtain needed information.

• Maintains and updates departmental calendars to track deadlines and meetings.

• Maintains and organizes departmental files such as well files, or electronic files in shared drives or electronic databases to ensure accuracy and improve the availability of information.

• Trains and mentors less experienced land assistants.

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Demonstrate basic computer knowledge through effective use of a personal computer including Microsoft Office applications. Able to learn company specific applications.

• Able to effectively manage time and prioritize projects in order to meet established deadlines.

• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.

• Able to work effectively with all levels of co-workers, clients, and other external contacts.

• Able to effectively abide company policies, procedures, and technology.

• Able to function independently in a multi-task environment, as well as part of a team.

• Able to handle sensitive and confidential information appropriately.

• Strong knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology.

• Ability to manage information with accuracy and critical attention to detail.

• Able to effectively manage time and prioritize projects in order to meet established deadlines.

High school diploma or GED - Minimum

Bachelor’s degree - from accredited university Preferred
