Description The Cat Scan Technologist will be a competent individual capable of performing with only a minimum of supervision and using independent judgment. He/she must possess the ability to perform CT work on several different types of equipment, so that all work is completed in a timely, competent, and efficient manner. Technologists in this classification must function well together as a team and may be required to train both graduate and student technologists. Must be able to perform CT procedures on various equipment.
High school graduate or equivalent is required.
Graduation from an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology is required.
Certification by the ARRT in Diagnostic Radiologic Technology is required.
Certification in CT preferred.
Experience of one year in Radiologic Technology preferred.
Previous experience in Angiography or CT preferred.
Able to tolerate long periods of time standing during procedures.
Ability to tolerate much bending, stooping, and lifting.
Ability to work quickly and accurately under time pressure.
Ability to operate new equipment and learn new procedures.
Knowledge of computer operation is desirable.
