Description Operational accountability for Southview Medical Center's Intensive Care Unit and Nursing Resources

  • Maintains a team oriented unit with staff, physicians and ancillary departments

  • Promotes a culture of excellence and outcomes in key result areas of patent experience, quality, engagement and finance

  • Offers opportunity for growth in skills and professional development

  • Staff members assist decisions that affect positive patient, unit, and organization outcomes

  • Works in the unit to maintain skills and keeping up with staff skills

  • Participates and oversees education and training of staff to keep current and within best practices

  • Engages and participates with other ICU’s in the Network for one best practice


  • BSN required

  • Active Ohio RN Licensure

  • Active CPR certification

  • Masters in nursing or related field preferred

  • Minimum of two years in a leadership/management role; three-five years preferred

  • Proven leadership experience as a Charge Nurse, Clinical Care Coordinator or Manager

  • Demonstrates positive interpersonal relations and critical analysis skills as evidenced by previous experience

  • Strong communication skills (speaking and listening), excellent organization skills

  • Critical thinking, ability to multi-task and prioritization skills a must

  • Engaged in nursing as a profession with accountability and expects same from others
