Kettering Medical Center RN - GVMC in Dayton, Ohio
Responsible for providing and supervising direct and indirect total nursing care to patients undergoing surgical intervention and/or to an assigned group of patients by utilizing the nursing process and a plan based on scientific knowledge.
Current RN license in the State of Ohio.
A nurse returning to the profession after five (5) years or more of absence from hospital nursing will be required to take a refresher course.
Current CPR certification.
ED, Ancillary Float, Float Nurses, ICU Nurses, ICU Stepdown
ACLS certification (must be completed within six months).
Two (2) years experience in acute care preferred.
One (1) year experience in critical care preferred.
PALS certification (must be completed in six months)
Requires ability to lift, turn, and assists immobile or unconscious patients.
Working inside within any hospital area.
Working in confined spaces or cramped body positions.
Exposure to sunlight, x-rays, and microwaves.
Risk of minor injury (minor cut, bruise, scrape, burn).
Exposure to solvents, degreasers, pesticides, and/or herbicides.
Interacting with the public, other workers, etc.
Irregular or extended work hours.
Exposure to individuals who demonstrate aggressive behavior or emotional distress.
