Entegee is seeking a Buyer/Purchasing Agent for a 12 month contract in Denver, CO.

In this role, the chosen Buyer/Purchasing Agent will:

  • Identify and vet potential vendors.

  • Negotiate price and terms for services, materials, equipment, and/or supplies from vendors.

  • Formalize agreements according to company policy.

  • Monitor vendor compliance with contract terms and product or service specifications.

  • Identify and realize opportunities for cost reduction.

  • Participate in internal control processes.

You will be part of a team responsible for pre-determined segments of the Purchasing group.

Responsibilities: 1. Ensures daily procurement needs are met for major capital power generation projects. Assists in coordinating activities related to procurement of material beginning with intent to purchase through delivery. 2. Analyzes the requirements of the materials needed, including preliminary specifications, preferred supplier, and date materials or parts are needed. 3. Manages development and issuance of RFI/RFQ/RFP, coordinates bid evaluations and analysis, participates in supplier selection, and ensures necessary documentation is maintained for low dollar and low risk material and services contracts; investigates and/or interviews potential suppliers to determine if they meet the specified requirements.

Job Requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or two to five years related experience as senior buyer/planner.

  2. Industrial capital project construction experience and utility power generation experience preferred.

  3. Must be able to interact and communicate with individuals at all levels of the organization.

  4. Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software (Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and ERP (SAP, etc.).

  5. Understands business implications of decisions and displays orientation to profitability; Demonstrates knowledge of market and competition and aligns work with strategic goals

  6. Work location will be both the main office in downtown Denver and various generating plant construction project sites as needed.

  7. Wearing of personnel protective equipment safety gear (hard hat, eye protection, steel-toe shoes) required when attending meetings or otherwise working at the project construction job site.
