Job Description SummaryStrategically partner with business clients to develop, maintain and ensure quality operations of human resources processes including, employee relations, organizational and workforce planning, talent acquisition, and talent development. Demonstrates flexible leadership and is highly skilled at goal setting, coaching, performance evaluation, active listening, feedback and proactive problem solving. Possess a thorough knowledge of Human Resources policies/procedures and state and federal laws. Reports to off-site manager. On site HR leader for our downtown Denver office. Responsible for general HR support, as well, as participation in specific site initiatives and activities (ex. new employee orientation, local response team, employee engagement events, security, etc.)
Serve as HR business partner to an assigned business group.
Responsible for the day to day implementation of policies and programs covering several areas including recruiting, training, employee relations, compensation and employment. Recommends changes to policies and programs when appropriate.
Manage the recruitment process including discussing staff needs with line managers, sourcing, screening and interviewing applicants, and developing and extending offers of employment. Supports annual Affirmative Action Plan and ensures a consistency of policy application, equitable treatment of people, and safe working environment standards in compliance with all state and local requirements.
Partner with Talent Acquisition Team on recruiting efforts.
Direct some payroll activities such as, garnishments, bonuses, special pay requests.
Active participation in employee performance management and compensation programs, including annual performance reviews, salary planning, and incentive compensation.
Bachelor’s degree in relevant area or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum of 5 years HR experience and a broad knowledge of applicable laws and policies.
Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality.
Advanced computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), HRIS and database management skills.
Experience supporting marketing or sales client group.
Ability to appropriately balance a strategic focus with tactical deliverables.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to negotiate and influence people at all levels.
Ability to facilitate and influence change.
Possess effective facilitation and coaching skills.
Active affiliation with appropriate Human Resources networks and organizations and ongoing community involvement.
Specialized training in employment law, compensation, organizational planning, organization development, benefits administration, employee relations, safety, and training facilitation.
Job and compensation levels depend upon an applicant’s qualifications including the extent of his/her relevant experience and other job related factors and will be determined by hiring supervisors/managers and HR.
