Job Description SummaryResponsible for product development and product management of a subset of U.S. funds and their non-registered sub-funds, including oversight of the lifecycle and viability of the funds.Job Description
Define, develop and deliver products to support Transamerica Asset Management’s strategy and product management function. Develop new U.S. funds, including product design and implementation.
Oversee product management of U.S. fund legal vehicles and sub-funds, including ongoing profitability analysis, review of fund fees and expenses, and interaction with Management Company, intermediaries and regulatory/compliance units.
Recommend changes to fund structures, expense allocations, total expense ratios (TER), and closure/merger of individual funds and/or sub funds.
Carry out sub-advisory relationship management.
Represent the team during meetings with senior management and stakeholders; provide guidance and assist with issue resolution.
Create and deliver presentations to senior management and peers on R&D research outcomes; highlight strategic recommendations for new products, enhancements, etc. Promote overall strategy and day-to-day tactics.
Lead complex, strategic projects, including commercial, regulatory and governance.
Contribute to market analysis to identify product opportunities and improve the competitive positioning of the product range.
Contribute to the development of marketing support, including key messaging and promotion to support sales efforts and drive awareness.
Maintain comprehensive marketing plans and production schedules to ensure quality and timely execution of initiatives.
Organize product training calls and materials; leverage technology to share information.
Bachelor’s degree in business related field or equivalent experience
Five years of experience in a product management/product development role.
Experience in a sales-driven, multi-channel, distribution environment.
In-depth understanding of the mutual fund industry as it relates to the UCITS and non-UCITS environment.
In-depth understanding of investment products, the financial industry and capital markets.
Knowledge of structuring and the operation of mutual funds in U.S. jurisdictions.
Strategic thinker and self-starter to drive strategy for the product portfolio.
Analytical skills to translate information into strategic and tactical recommendations.
Communication skills to deliver presentations and create investment content for delivery through print and digital mediums.
Project management skills.
Team player with excellent interpersonal skills to establish and maintain relationships with business groups at all levels of the organization..
Experience using industry databases (e.g. Morningstar, eVestment, Simfund, Lipper, Mercer, Bloomberg).
Proficient using MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)

Job and compensation levels depend upon an applicant’s qualifications including the extent of his/her relevant experience and other job related factors and will be determined by hiring supervisors/managers and HR.
