Transamerica is seeking talented Senior Mobile Developers to join a new development team responsible for a creating mobile hybrid applications supporting Transamerica Mobile.
This is an exciting opportunity to dive into emerging new technologies as well as further develop your skills in the mobile arena.
Codes, tests, identifies, implements and documents technical solutions to business challenges utilizing web and related technologies.
Performs design and analysis for deliverables and may lead larger team design sessions.
May provide recommendation towards simplification and efficiency of the business and technology environment. This takes into consideration costs, business needs, and system impacts.
Identifies tasks associated significant development efforts.
Researches and stays current on best practices in the technology industry as well as emerging technology.
May serve as a subject matter expert for a wide range of areas, applications, technologies and platforms.
Provides effort estimates for mobile projects.
Facilitates technical decision making and represents the team direction to various stakeholders.
Mentors others and be seen as a leader on their teams and with their customers.
Ability to provide end-to-end effort estimate for complete projects.
Ability to lead discussions with clients, management, co-workers, operation, technical support, and vendors to ensure the smooth operation of systems and project delivery
Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or technically related field, or equivalent education/experience. Minimum of 5 years work experience. Master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science or related technical field with 3 years of experience is also acceptable.
Experience deploying apps to app stores (Apple Play and Google Play)
Experience building single page apps with JS frameworks like AngularJS or React
Understanding of how to consume REST APIs
Highly self-motivated and creative problem-solver
5+ years developing mobile applications in an enterprise environment, preferably hybrid mobile applications.
Experience with Ionic frameworks.
Experience with HTML5, like LocalStorage, etc.
An understanding of unit testing (TDD/BDD tools such as Jasmine, Mocha or Protractor).
Experience building and maintaining previous single page apps (please provide examples).
Normal office environment
This position is referral bonus eligible for Transamerica employees.
There are currently two openings available for this position. The candidate hired will be placed in the appropriate level based upon qualifications, skills and organizational need.
