Midwestern University Assistant Professor/Co-Director of Clinical Education in Downers Grove, Illinois
Position Description: The Midwestern University (MWU) Physical Therapy Program is seeking an individual to join the faculty of an established DPT program as a Faculty member/Co-director of Clinical Education. Applications are invited for a 12-month full-time, tenure track physical therapy faculty position. Rank, salary and tenure status are commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Responsibilities and Qualifications for Faculty/Co-Director of Clinical Education: Faculty responsibilities include assisting the current Co-Director of Clinical Education in developing, planning, monitoring and evaluating all aspects of the clinical education component of the physical therapy curriculum. Additional responsibilities include teaching in an applicant’s area of interest, scholarly activity, university/professional service, curriculum evaluation and student mentoring. A DPT or post-professional doctoral degree is required. Individuals in the process of completing a post-professional doctoral degree program, with an APTA board certification in a specialty area would be considered. Applicants must be eligible for physical therapy licensure in Illinois, have at least 3 years of clinical experience, and a record of supervising students in the clinic. The applicant should have strong communication, organization, problem solving and mentoring skills. Interested applicants must be willing to travel.
