Manufacturing client in west of Dayton, Ohio is in need of a Manufacturing Engineering Technician with SPC knowledge. This technician position will support Statistical Process Control (SPC) program in manufacturing, collecting and reporting critical part data for our customers, analyzing dimensional and process data, and preparing reports for internal and external customers.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Read and interpret Statistical Process Control charts
Communicate to manufacturing personnel concerning SPC related information
Work with Manufacturing, Engineering and Quality to determine key process and part characteristics and plan for SPC
Use Infinity QS Proficient, JMP, and Excel to record, analyze, and display data
Follow customer specifications and instructions for providing requested data
Use PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office applications to prepare reports
Present SPC program updates to various levels of the business
Follow all company safety policies and report any unsafe conditions to management
Assist in applying lean manufacturing concepts and 5S
Perform tasks/duties related to special projects or assignments
Perform other duties as assigned by department management
Must work effectively with personnel at various levels within the organization, from a broad range of backgrounds.
The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
AS in an engineering or quality. Also consider high school diploma with proper certification/training
5-10 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
Ability to read blueprints and understand GD&T.
Is self-motivated and knows how to create a structured work-day for themselves.
Must be able to operate independently, but demonstrate confidence to ask questions and notify management of any issues in a timely manner.
Must be able to work effectively individually and in a team environment.
Confident to coordinate efforts with both the operators, engineers, facilities, supply chain and management.
