Job Description

We are currently looking for a material handler group lead to lead the camera sorting department in loading and unloading bins from machines according to the schedule, as well as providing leadership to the department in solving day to day issues.


  • Assists in scheduling jobs and managing the camera sorting area

  • Support completion of the employee’s evaluations and timesheets in the area

  • Monitor breaks and lunches of employees in assigned area of plant

  • Reassign resources and/or employees to meet business needs

  • Coordinate manpower, vacation, and overtime needs for the department with the order group leads

  • Reads product processing form, or follows verbal instructions to move the correct materials to the appropriate locations and machines

  • Drives a variety of forklift trucks to move and store cartons on racks in warehouse and into and out of the sorting department

  • Complies with safety and quality rules and policies

  • Support department efforts to maintain a clean work area, machines, and equipment

  • Assist machine operators as needed

  • Be a positive leader with the ability to communicate constructively

  • Collaborate with the other group leads and department supervisor to communicate and share key messages with the team

  • Train and cross-train current and new team members

  • Be an optimistic team player dedicated to ensure the area is maintained

  • Cross-train in other departments to be able to assist processing hot orders

  • Participates in the Layered Process Audits

  • Participate on problem solving activities (Root Cause & Corrective Actions)

  • Perform other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications

  • High School diploma or the equivalent technical training required

  • 3+ years experience driving different types of forklifts required

  • Continuous Improvement Mindset

  • Prior leadership experience preferred

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment

  • Knowledge and basic computer operation ability

  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide all units of measure and compute ratios and percentages

  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

  • Successful track record building positive relationships with coworkers and management

  • Strong decision making abilities
