The position is responsible for performing maintenance and upgrades on the plant electrical, instrumentation, communication, and control systems to maximize plant reliability and efficiency.The position willperform predictive, preventive and corrective maintenance on a variety of electrical, communication, HVAC equipment, pneumatic and electronic instrumentation and control systems; Evaluate equipment failures and recommend corrective action to prevent a re-occurrence;Provide electrical support for plant maintenance and operations department; Develop and update electrical equipment maintenance records and equipment calibration records; And complete work order documentation and coding accurately and in a timely manner.

Job Requirements

The qualified candidate will possess knowledge typically required through a high school degree or equivalent and a two-year electrical/electronic trade school degree/diploma or the equivalent in directly related training and experience. Must have basic mathematic process control skills, strong PC skills, ability to decipher manuals and diagrams, and the ability to troubleshoot and analyze problems. Journey level or 5 years of directly related training and experience is required.

  • Requires basic understanding of power plant operation and power generating equipment.

  • Ability to develop procedures as well as the ability to recognize needs and identify key support resources.

  • Requires a strong electrical and mechanical aptitude.

  • Experience working with rotating equipment and proven ability to perform a variety of electrical maintenance duties is necessary.

  • Knowledge of soldering equipment and its proper use is necessary.

  • Proficient in the use of tools and equipment needed to properly install, test and maintain a variety of electrical and instrumentation equipment.

  • Abilities to effectively maintain and troubleshoot power generating and associated equipment.
