CGI is seeking an ISSO to work with the EPA on a high impact program. The ISSO advisor will provide the EPA ISSO with ongoing assurance of adequate systems security and controls in the EPA environment. The candidate is responsible for planning, developing, and maintaining security documentation for EPA systems. The candidate also provides oversight and guidance on the implementation of the required security processes and compliance. Be on the cutting edge of technology and the management of robust security controls in a NIST 800-53 compliant environment.
You can work with a relatively new team of security experts, Security ISSO's and Security Engineers to grow the services and capabilities offered by the group. Mentoring of more junior members is a definite plus for this role.
Your future duties and responsibilities:
Work with system owners and technical leads to develop and maintain security documentation required for Authority to Operate (ATO) approval. Be the security POC for multiple systems within the EPA Environment
Coordinate monthly vulnerability scanning activities and analysis results to report to the ISSO.
Help maintain the security management program for the EPA including its security policy, practices, standards, procedures and processes, coordinate and support regular security audits as part of the comprehensive System Security Policy, standards, practices and procedures, in order to maintain security authority to operate;
Coordinate and support risk assessments and ensure corrective action on any identified security exposures;
Provide advice and leadership in creating and maintaining contingency plans for any security emergencies;
Training and/or facilitation in the areas of systems controls and security awareness issues;
Close working relationships with other team leads and senior management;
Required qualifications to be successful in this role:
A Bachelors degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or other related field desired
Knowledge of NIST Special Publications including 800-53 is required
Comfortable briefing senior level customers on security issues
CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional), CAP and/or Sec+ certifications desired
FedRAMP Experience a plus
Xacta Experience a plus
Due to the nature of the government contract, US Citizenship is required
