Position Description:

CGI Federal’s Emerging Technologies Practice (ETP) seeks a highly-motivated security professional to support Environmental Protection Agency projects in the Regulatory Agencies Program business unit. The Information Security Analyst will be a part of a security team that supports projects’ information security needs to comply with EPA’s comprehensive security program and the NIST Risk Management Framework ( RMF)

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Prepare, validate, and maintain security documentation including, but not limited to: system security plan (SSP), risk assessment (RA), contingency plan (CP), privacy impact assessment (PIA), eAuthentication assessment, FIPS categorization

• Provide support for the security life cycle of major applications to the CGI Federal project team and client stakeholders

• Collaborate with the CGI Federal project team to support security assessments (Security Assessment and Authorization [SA&A] or Certification and Accreditation [C&A] activities) and audits

• Have strong analysis, oral and written communication, and change management skills

• Be able to work with all levels of CGI Federal and client project team members and establish and maintain a strong customer-focused working relationship

• Identify and mitigate security business and system risks

• Identify and manage POA&Ms through remediation as well as develop corrective action plans for each POA&M

• Be a team player with the ability to work independently and proactively while being flexible and prioritizing competing priorities, often under time constraints

• Participate in writing proposals

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Required Knowledge and Skills:

Knowledge of NIST Special Publications especially 800-53 and 800-37. Ability to communicate clearly and present information to the customer in a format they can understand.

• Preparing security documentation

• Evaluating security and privacy controls to determine which are applicable and which have changed

• Participating in security assessments and audits

• Completing non-technical analysis activities

• Providing direct support to a client ISSO

• Identifying and mitigating risks

• Managing POA&Ms

Commitment to ongoing quality and process improvements

Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Project

Desired :

CISSP, Sec+, or CAP Certifications. Knowledge of Nessus scanning tool. Knowledge of EPA environments and systems.

Knowledge of Xacta or Archer Or Trusted Agent FISMA

Due to the nature of the government contract, US Citizenship and the ability to get a security clearance is required.
