Position Description:

CGI is looking for a ServiceNow Developer to join our Federal Business Unit. We are actively pursuing development of new capabilities and require an experienced ServiceNow Developer who can champion software application development using low-code platforms. Candidates must have a detail understanding of ServiceNow and experience in implementing ITIL processes in ServiceNow. Candidates must be comfortable communicating business advantages of using low-code platforms to customers, understand business challenges and requirements, and demonstrate platform capabilities via prototypes. Candidates must also spearhead creation of reusable applications (products) built using low-code platforms as assets that can be utilized across customer boundaries. Candidates must also be comfortable in mentoring and training.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

• Create ServiceNow applications to provision business functions to service desk teams. Create integration interfaces, UI, and workflow configuration

• Collaborate with enterprise architects in designing and developing reusable solutions

• Evaluate enterprise architectures and recommend/spearhead adoption of ServiceNow at customer implementations as the primary or adjunct technical platform

• Participate in business development discussions and customer meetings, elicit advantages of using ServiceNow in application development and deployment

• Work closely with service desk business and IT teams, support ServiceNow configuration including upgrades to latest ServiceNow releases

• Create ServiceNow based prototypes to demonstrate business functionality that can be quickly achieved using the platform

• Recommend latest solutions using the ServiceNow platform keeping abreast of the product roadmap and new features on the horizon

• Implement DevOps for ServiceNow to establish reliable development, test, and deployment environments including consistent configuration

• Support automation and increase in productivity during development and deployment of existing ServiceNow based applications

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

• Design, develop and configure the ServiceNow with best practices in mind to fulfil business needs.

• Experience with Incident Management, Change Management, Problem, Asset Management, CMDB Management, Service Catalog, HR, and Problem Management domains and implementation using ServiceNow

• Experience with integrating ServiceNow based applications with external systems using SOAP or REST based web services

• Working knowledge of JavaScript, CSS, and HTML5 for responsive design

• Experience in application deployment and migration between environments

• Excellent communication skills, interpersonal skills to interact with customers and team members

• Analytical and problem solving skills, Ability to listen and comprehend, Ability and willingness to learn

• Experience in creating ServiceNow based electronic forms supported by workflows and business rules


• 10+ years overall development experience

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience developing using ServiceNow

• ServiceNow Administration, Scripting, Application Creation, and Orchestration certification


• Experience in Advanced ServiceNow Administration

• Exposure to jQuery and Angular.js

• Exposure to Governance, Risk, and Compliance
